Léman ShoresSaint-Gingolph (Switzerland)

Project Description

Saint-Gingolph is located on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Switzerland, at the French border. The Morge stream marks this border. The project focuses on the redevelopment of the lake's shores, including its beach, marina, fishing port, and quays with café terraces.

From the lake, the landscape presents a blend of blues and greens. The closer one gets to the shore, the more the colors overlap, creating a lakeside front that integrates into this intense, steep, and mountainous scenery. The distinct topography eliminates depth, highlighting public elements such as paths, roads, and low walls that are layered and interconnected.

The requalification of the shores of Lake Geneva in Saint-Gingolph rethinks the promenade from the train station to the water, redesigning the lakeside facilities of the town, including its beach, ports, and quays.
