Vision

Vision
An artist worthy of the name should express all the truth of nature, not only the exterior truth, but also, and above all, the inner truth.
Auguste Rodin

Immersing humanity in a unique, living, and spontaneous natural environment allows the creativity of life to express itself freely. Removed from the structured confines of daily life, one is confronted with the unpredictability and raw beauty of nature. This immersion evokes a profound sensory and emotional experience, where every element seems imbued with a distinct vitality. The singing of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the scent of wet earth together paint a portrait of an autonomous ecosystem.

In each of its projects, Praxys strives to forge a connection that inspires wonder, reminding humanity that it can no longer be merely a spectator or master of the game, but an integral part of this living tapestry.

Praxys is an international landscape and urbanism agency dedicated to creating and transforming cities and territories by developing urban projects, public spaces, parks, and gardens.

From Paris to Saint Petersburg, and from Brussels to Milan, the agency explores the potential for enchantment in the world. Since its inception, it has completed over 150 projects, including urban planning studies, public space designs, neighborhood developments, and historical gardens.

The agency is a winner of the Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes 2009/2010, awarded by the Ministry of Culture.

Team

Team

Alongside Thomas Boucher and Benoît Fagnou, Praxys brings together a multidisciplinary team of landscape architects, urban planners, architects, and designers.

The co-construction of projects by the team fosters a sense of collective responsibility, with each member contributing to the design, management, and evaluation of the projects. This approach ensures creative agility while upholding the ecological and humanistic values that the agency champions.

Thomas Boucher, DPLG landscape architect graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles, OPQU urban planner and founding partner of the agency in 2007; Benoît Fagnou, DPLG landscape architect graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage, partner of the agency since 2021; Corinne Lafon, administrative manager (2017); Fabien Sardier, landscape architect (2021); Estelle Carlon, designer (2019); Cloé Masson, architect-urban planner (2021); Alice Brulé-Mori, communications and development manager (2021); Abel Riché, architect-urban planner (2022); Nicolas Marquaille, architect-landscape architect (2023); Larissa Doll, landscape architect (2024); Pierre-Alexey Izard, architect (2024).

Poetry requires as much precision as mathematics.
Paul Valéry

The agency functions as a laboratory—a space for reflection and experimentation where each project provides an opportunity to deepen our approach to cities and territories, test our concepts, and push the boundaries of ecological, social, technical, and operational innovation. Each topic becomes a field of study for tangible solutions to contemporary urban and societal challenges. We are convinced that only boldness—the desire to break free from convention—will enable us to meet the challenges ahead.

Our projects are born from both the thinking mind and the hand that draws, explores, and builds. They emerge from encounters and exchanges with our clients and partners, as well as from interactions with light and materials.

Crafting

By understanding people you understand places better, by understanding places you understand people better.
Agnès Varda

For us, a project is the story of a shared experience, told in collaboration with the residents. It draws strength from the rich history of the place and is further enriched by the memories and personal experiences of individuals. By blending heritage, geography, and personal stories, we collectively build a desirable future.

The residents play an active role in defining the programming: they share their needs, ideas, and visions for the space. Their involvement allows us to imagine uses that reflect their identity and meet the aspirations of the community.

The agency, in turn, translates this richness into a concrete project. We ensure that we fully leverage the unique qualities of each place—whether its architecture, history, or environment—to create lively, functional, and inspiring spaces. Together, we transform these places into catalysts for social connection and innovation.
