Equestrian ParkSaint-Arnoult (14)

Project Description
Located on the Graviers site, this park project aims to bring together two distinct yet complementary worlds: a wetland landscape rich in biodiversity and a dynamic equestrian activity linked to the Pôle International du Cheval Longines. Bordered to the south by the Touques River, in a marshy environment, and to the north by the PIC, which is gradually expanding onto the site, the park is designed as a space for encounters and exchanges between these different territorial scales.
The objective is to restore and preserve natural habitats while developing equestrian and recreational activities. Educational and discovery trails run through the park, offering visitors observation points for local fauna and flora, as well as rest areas and play spaces. All new developments follow an ecological approach, including the reuse of existing materials and a short supply chain design.
The project also questions the management of large parking areas, which are used occasionally during equestrian competitions. These spaces could accommodate other uses outside of these events, such as an athletics track for schools, thereby strengthening the site’s integration into local life.
Finally, the connection with the PIC is reinforced by the creation of a large shared forecourt and an emblematic building, highlighting the site's dual identity—both equestrian and ecological. By involving residents and users in this dynamic, the project aims to transform the Graviers site into a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable space where nature and horses coexist in harmony.
