Napoléon Bonaparte PromenadeAsnières-sur-Seine (92)

Project Description

This project involves the creation of a residential service alley that complements the pedestrian network in this Asnières-sur-Seine neighborhood, characterized by large landholdings. The alley serves residential buildings to the north and a future middle school to the south.

One of the project's key challenges is managing the different timelines for the construction of buildings. How can the initial phase give the impression of a completed space? How can residents feel they are living in a developing neighborhood rather than a perpetual construction site?

The introduction of a strong landscape—featuring a wooded strip, a meadow, and large rocks—creates a sense of powerful nature that residents can traverse, explore, or admire from their windows.

Located within the Seine’s floodplain, this landscape highlights the soil's natural coolness, drawing inspiration from alluvial forests. Rainwater is guided and stored within planted areas. Public amenities are designed to offer new daily uses for everyone, combining granite benches with informal play features centered around large, multicolored boulders.
