Avenue Victor-Cresson and Avenue de VerdunIssy-les-Moulineaux (92)

Project Description

In Issy-les-Moulineaux, Avenue Victor-Cresson and Avenue de Verdun cross the town over nearly three kilometres. The project turns them into a great tree-lined urban promenade linking the Seine, the parks and the neighbourhoods, a true green link at the scale of the town.

An atmosphere first: a single, warm ground surface from façade to façade, and many trees to walk in the shade. Then fixed uses, gathered in a service strip that hosts lighting masts, bollards, bicycle parking and furniture, freeing the rest of the space for walking.

Finally, an evolving and festive street: the masts carry event posters, parking spaces turn, depending on the day, into café terraces, flower stalls or food-truck pitches, and light canopies shelter many uses. The avenue lives at the pace of the town, from everyday life to festive days.
