The captaincy peninsula and the sailing dock occupy a strategic and symbolic position at the heart of the Crouesty Port. A meeting point between land and sea, this place offers sailors and visitors a unique experience of the harbor.

The project aims to develop a distinct identity for each of the peninsulas within the port. Each space is designed to meet different uses and aspirations while contributing to a coherent vision of the whole. The captaincy peninsula stands out for its central role and its function as a viewpoint.

This peninsula serves as an observation point, an iconic location offering an unobstructed view of the lively port scene. Its central position, at the junction of various nautical activity zones, makes it an ideal spot for functional and welcoming developments. From the sea, it marks the entrance to the port and guides boats to their destination. On the water, its shape naturally pinches, enhancing its visibility and centrality.

The design of this space is based on three key elements:
- A welcoming viewpoint: the creation of a large bench offers a comfortable resting place to admire the port and soak in the maritime atmosphere.
- A cluster of pines: this natural element gives the peninsula a strong identity while evoking the surrounding coastal landscapes.
- The ability to fly flags: flags and pennants will emphasize the maritime character of the place while providing useful information to sailors.

The ambition of this project is to transform the captaincy peninsula into an iconic and convivial space, grounded in its functional role within the port and open to both locals and visitors. By highlighting the landscape and maritime features, this development will help rewrite the identity of the Crouesty Port, while honoring its natural and nautical heritage.
